| Overall Arvada West Auto Service is great place to get your car repaired. They are very thorough and very friendly. I will say that some of the charges are pretty high. For example, I received an estimate for the replacement of the cabin air filter for a total of $172.16 $98 labor $54.20 for the air filter $10.65 for shop supplies $5 HazMat Fee $4.31 tax That is crazy. I got the air filter for $10 on Amazon, and replaced it myself in less than 5 minutes. Some of the other repairs I needed therefore seemed priced on the higher side as well, but I had to get them done, and I know the shop does do quality work. I understand the business needs to make money, but $170 to replace a cabin air filter is just not right. Another example was $558.09 quote to get the rear shocks replaced, which after looking up what it takes to replace those, also is a pretty high estimate. In summary, the shop does quality repair work, the people are very nice, but I would like to see the prices be a bit more reasonable. |
